Become a volunteer. When you do things for others it not only benefits them but it helps you out as well. Research has shown that people who volunteer on a regular basis have a lower rate of heart disease and depression not to mention they live happier and more fulfilled lives. If you already volunteer, you know the feeling that comes from doing something for others as well as the friendships and support system you can find in fellow volunteers.
